Our Guiding Principals
What makes us special? At Chipworks we believe in taking care of each customer in a fashion that suits that customer’s specific needs. We believe that by respecting each other and providing a work environment that allows us to be open and honest about strengths and weaknesses we work together to provide sound technology solutions.
We understand that we live in a time where these are often pretty words or a commitment that gets lost somewhere between the beginning of a company and today. Because this is such an important commitment for us to keep we’ve documented our Guiding Principals here so we can remind ourselves where we began and continue to hold true to our commitments.

- We will educate our customers to the fullest extent they are comfortable to demystify the technical world because through understanding our customers will better choose solutions that meet their needs.
- We will implement all of our solutions professionally and document solutions so our intentions and implementation of each solution will not be a mystery in the future.
- We will guarantee our customer’s complete satisfaction with everything that we do.
We Believe:
- Clarity in understanding our mission, our commitments, our beliefs, and what we expect from each other is critical to our success.
- Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. When an Individual is treated with respect they respond by giving their best.
- Honesty and Integrity are a requirement in everything we do.
- We must live up to every commitment we make and will therefore make every commitment with care.
- Our work is important and we want to enjoy what we do. We will strive to have fun while we serve our customers.
- Competition is an important catalyst for innovation and advancement. We believe competition brings out the best in us.
- We insist on giving our best effort in everything we undertake. Furthermore, we see a huge difference between "good mistakes" (best effort with a bad result) and "bad mistakes" (sloppiness or lack of effort).
- We guard and conserve our company and customer’s resources at least as well as we would guard and conserve our own resources.
- We are believers in the Golden Rule. In all our dealings we will strive to be friendly and courteous, as well as fair and compassionate.
- We feel a sense of urgency on any matters related to our customers. We own problems and we are always responsive. We are customer-driven.

Our beliefs are based in part on the Core Values and Beliefs of Mindspring, Inc. Mindspring was a small regional Internet Service Provider founded around the same time as Chipworks. For many years we partnered with Mindspring to provide Internet service to our customers. When we first encountered Mindspring’s Core Values and Beliefs we realized they were true to who we are and we adopted them as our own. Over the years we’ve revised them to focus more on our business and customer needs however the heart of the message remains the same. Many of the original Core Values and Beliefs are still present above and they are used here with permission from Mindspring. We appreciate the pioneering work of those at Mindsping and how they gave of themselves to improve us in ways we never expected.
